Default Wil it work? Gear ratio question...

I'm doing a truck with Losi LST's but I've ran into a problem with the gear ratio. I was planning to use a 9 tooth pinion in one spot but it looks like I'll have to go to a 13t so my gear ratio is now 169.12:1 using a Speed gems pro 17t motor. I know it will be better once I get it around 300:1 but will this be somewhat crawlable on a really light wieght rig? I'm not to worried about having enough tourqe to pull me in a wagon or anything just enough to climb some curbs

I had mine at 240:1 with a magnetic mayhem. I am going to get the new truck I am building around 150:1. At 240 it didn't climb loose dirt well. Maybe a higher reving motor would help for climbing loose stuff.

Okay thanks alot for your input, my main problem is that 17t motor I'm using, if I had an intergy lathe motor or a mag mayhem I wouldnt be worried but who knows if this 17t will push it
