Default Building a crawler

I wanna do a small scale crawler, but i dont know what to get. I just bought a new E-Maxx (For racing and jumping)and i'd like to get a good rock crawler for about $100 to $150, but i have my doubts on that, unless u guys have any ideas on wut i should get??

BTW, im not very good at fabricating my own parts, unless its just regular house hold materieals :?

Get some pvc pipe, the only thing I can think of is buying a 4wd tamiya kit for close to 100 bucks and moding it to hell.

Depends, what kind of truck do you want? A maxx? a clod? TxT? For a maxx, overall mine costed me over 500, but that is with 100 bucks in tires, 300 for the truck, 100 for mip cvds, 25 for spools, 20 for the links. You can get clod axles for about 120, then about 200 for a clod chassis. then you need rims tires. You get the point?

my clod is over $1000 i think by now i got the clod tranny's gecko chassis orion 3300's 2 quantum pro reverses and 2 new stock motors a xxtra receiver 2 airtronics 94757z's and new stock rims and tires
well i guess ill figure it out (and thats at my cost cause i work at a lhs)

clod tranny's-100
gecko chassis-180
gp 3300-85
quantum pro reverse-100x2
stock motors-25x2
xxtra reveiver-80
94757Z-90x2
rims-30
tires-30
body-30
shocks-40
total=$2010 hmm a lil more than i thought
but thats like all out i think you oculd buy a stock clod and run that just lock the difs and do a lil customizing and you can get some good art out of it some one had on that got insane articulation. i would look on ebay or something for a used one for like 1050 then use what ever else you want for electronics. i think outta one of my stock clods i got 5 inches outta it and still had more to go give that a shot
i have to find a new hobby lol

rubber side down
