The Kongs are a handful! Hope you are up to it.

I am curious about the motors. Is that an airplane motor?

Sounds like you are making a very large truck. Just make sure everything you use.....is LARGE.

What type of axles? Xfactor? Mad Force?
Don't use anything narrower!

The servo you have picked out sounds good but it also sounds like it has plastic gears... I'd make sure to get metal geared servo in the 1/4 scale area.

Kongs are truely a handful as Dirk expressed... Some times they are too small and most the time they are just too big!

i have clod axels on my crawler i like them very much they will handle kongs but width is the problem on the axels you will be cutting your body up for sure unless you get a wheel widener kit ,good start with the parts what kind of reduction are you going to use

I think the Clod axles are to narrow for Kongs. I'm thinkin the Kongs will fit my Twin Force axles quite nicely. Hopeing to get some pretty soon.

the width with the wideners on may be fine but the internals of the clod axles will fail due to the size of the Kongs.

You know, just cause all you people say clods can't do kongs, I might have to scratch out the k-rocks

I think they will be fine if you have a metal track gear. They are still narrow though, which is a bummer. I think I might do just a 1" drop on my custom outers, make em a bit wider than I intended (17" WMS or something) and use kongs, just to show that clods can get it too

I think a clod can handle the Kongs.....just not as efficiently as 1/8th scale axles.

I can't argue with that. 1:8 scale axles are definetely more prepared for em. But you know me, I'm stubborn.. I'll stick with clod axles until they stop making parts

Well, they DID stop making pullmaster parts a long time ago

Sure ONE store in the US stocked up on them. I really miss the power but MAN they're pricey!

Twin Force axles and Kongs work well together. I'm running them on my TF. If I were you I would call Tower Hobbies and tell them what you need. Theres 25 or 30 part #s that make up those axles, round about figure. They may have one part # for the axle. Take a look at the suspension arms. There are two tabs that make perfect link attachment points, if you cut the arm off and turn it 180. It also allows you to rotate the pinion very easily. And you could make a platform like I did to mount the links and steering linkage or a servo. Also the axles with 3/4" offset Maximizer beadlocks are roughly 15 1/2" wide.
