Default Charger Question.

I have Piranha and Vision chargers. Non-Lipo. They both have Clips for the battery in your pickup or whatever vehicle you drive. I have 4 power points in my truck. Can I cut off the clips and put power point [cigarette lighter style] 12v plugs on them and charge through my P/P's and not have to pop the hood when I charge the Batts? I'm thinking on the way to a spot, to top off the batts.
Please LMK your input.
Thanx.

It depends on the size of the fuse that you have to your power points, and the charge rate that you will use. Most of the adapters have a fuse too.
I charge wit the one in my car all the time, but I can only charge at up to 3 amps. If I go above that I blow a fuse.

I use this adapter from Radio Shack.

I use the clips to attach to the adapter, that way they are still on there if I need them.

My clips are attached by banana plugs which should allow me to remove the clips and plug directly into the adapter. But I just realized I've never tried that.
