| Need help with some measurments!!
Ok so i found another option for slider on the tranny of the Goliath, kinda like the T4 locker, but its the Axial diff. outputs....... i have a dilemma though. the bearings have too large of an inner diameter so i got to see how hard it is to find bearings for this thing, i already have a spur mounted up and ill post what i did if i can find the bearings.... so i need help since i dont have calipers to measure this... i need the OUTER diameter of the PTI tranny bearing, the INNER diameter of the Axial diff bearings, and the Width of the PTI bearing. And if any of you guys know a place to find bearings that would be a great help as well. Thanks in advance MUD |

| no :( i had to rig it at the LHS, since im an apt. dweller and dont have access to things like a drill press..... so i had to do it on the spot.... but I'll tell you what it was... it was a mini gear reducer like for a 280 motor(it was lying on their work bench so i dont have a part number... hell they didnt even know where it came from) and the output shaft held the Axial diff piece from the back side(think it was a 4mm diameter hole)..... but the spur was a tad bigger in diameter(my guesstimation was about 5mm). so i had to use shrink tube to change the diameter of the shaft so itll center the spur. i threw some spacers on the gear reducer to lift the spur off the reducer, then put the axial diff end piece over the spur to get my holes set.... then drilled away......... sounds harder than it really was. |
