I've posted the exact same question and didn't get a responce. The 4:1 would be ok in my opinion because the AX-10 transmission ( t-case?) is only a 2.6:1 ratio with the ring and pinion gear in the axle providing a bit more reduction. A smaller or larger pinion gear on the motor changes how many RPM's the motor will spin to maintain a given wheel speed, which has an effect of how much torque can be transfered to the axles. I'd personally like to use the the RC4WD gru or the new HPI WK reduction head along with a 2:1 scale transfer case. RC4Wd makes a 2:1 t-case, but it isn't scale looking. | |

Better get a 3mm to 5mm shaft adapter as well I have a GRU connected to a 100t motor but, thats as far as I got and noticed the shaft size :-( Cant seem to find an adapter to fit the GRU shaft to a 5mm out.
