| Panther Gate Markers
I just received these yesterday and thought I would share them with all of you. Panther Gate Markers(Rock dots) A few specs They are bright orange and have directional arrows. Dimensions are 2.7" wide 1.1" tall. There is a grove made into the inside to except a 2" washer for added weight. From what I can tell so far the sit better than you normal tennis ball marker. They seem to be made of a pretty sticky compound . Here is the prices and quantities that are offered on Panthers web site. 2 pack (+$4.00) (+0.2 lbs) 10 pack (+$32.50) (+1 lbs) 22 pack (+$71.50) (+2 lbs) Let me know what you think |

I got a set last week too, I think they should work well and they are a little more substantial than some of the others I've seen around.

I like them but the directional arrows should be a contrasting color, if I was blind, I'd have no idea which way these were pointing |

They are rubber. I am not sure on coloring the arrow with a sharpie. I think they have a coating on them or a mold release agent on them I tried to black out the arrow but the ink just bubbled up and fisheyed .I will see if I can wash one today and then try again. |

I've often wondered about these. In the pics, are you running the washer in them?

The 10 pack has 10 markers or 20? 32.50 seems expensive. If there are only 10 in the 10 pack you would need 2 packs just to make one course = 65.00 for 1, 8 gate course w/ start&finish. So $195 for 3 courses Thats alot for a club and way too much for a guy looking to buy some practice gates. Or is my math wrong |

The dots are the same diameter as a tennis ball and about the same height and they tapper quicker .So you can actually get closer to them than with your rig on off camber's than your normal tennis ball markers. They are larger than the Axial markers but In my opinion I think they are to small. Quote:
The 10 pack comes with 10 dots so 5 gates. The 22 pack comes with 22 dots so you have enough to do a 10 gate course with a bonus. | ||

I love my Panther Rock Dots! I've added the 2 inch washer to a few of them. Helps them stick in some locations. I colored the arrows on mine w/ a Sharpie. It rubs off a bit, but not bad. Last edited by dezfan; 12-08-2008 at 09:51 PM. |
