Default 1.9 class rig

After seeing that a new class has been added and not wanting to spend the $$ on a new MRC just to rip it apart, I decided I would again check out the parts bin and see what I could come up with....

TLT axles are allowed..... So, I knew I had a set of TLT's at the bottom of the bin

TLT axles straight axle adapter in rear, alu steering knuckles, full bearings
Custom FRS chassis, Bakelite skid, cutting board supports
New AX-10 trans
Custom links
MLST shocks (stock for now, new alu's on their way)
I need to figure out tires, but the Mudslingers will work for now...
The body is only on for sizing, it already has another home...

8 3/8"

Big Brother

I have some clean up to do on it and things like driveshafts, but all in all not bad for a parts bin build, I only spent $10 in misc hardware (rod ends & bolts) today.

Nice job Right after I read the rules for the new 1.9 class I thought of a rig just like this. I have a feeling it will do very well.

With these tires over 8", I know that I need to get different tires and maybe mod the wheels to bring it in.

My TLT axles w/ 0 offset wheels and narrowed Panther Claws is right at 8 inches maybe a mm over. Going to be tough to get them under 8 inches w/o modding the axles.

Why are we measuring from the tires? it should be from the lip of the rim. The width of the tire changes as the tire goes around, unless you run them with solid foams. Whos idea was it to measure from the tire

Nice rig, I'm tempted to tear the scaler down and build a 1.9 comp rig.

Took the little rig to the rocks today, I had to try it on the 2.2 course (after they ran) It needs some better sneakers, the Stompers on Hummer wheels gave it a 8 1/2" width so they will have to go, but it was fun getting some rash on this today anyway.

2.4.2 - Vehicle track width is limited to a maximum of 8 inches. This is determined by measuring the bottom of the outer most edge of the front and rear tires while the vehicle is sitting on level ground.
