Default custom trans idea,

Has anyone used two gd600s for a trans, two motors, one facing forward, the other back. it would be very low, small? i might try it on a tlt.

are you going to use a spur gear too and have a shaft come from the spur?

Well, you might as well run 33/12.5/15 super swamper boggers then, you'll definitely have enough gear to turn 'em.

Not too sure about being able to turn that much tire.... I had a hard enough time getting these suckers to roll with nearly 700:1 final crawl ratio

I run 2 inline gds with a 2.5 to 1 t-case and its a perfect gear for my rig runing moabs. just watch your gear mesh cause the second gd is geting alot of torque and will strip if its not exact. the plactic also flexes under large loads throwing of the mesh causing it to strip. thats the only downfall to the set up. Plastic flex is why i ditched the pede tranny in favor of a custom t6 alu one. plus its just bad *** to run a alu t case with gear oil inside.

so did the tires actually turn or did the car just flip over backwards?

The trucks rear tires are sitting on the inside of the quad wheel, it was a joke.

why not use a long 3mm screw to thread all the way through the plastic posts on the gd and then top them off with a nut on the end. That might help stiffin them up.
