Default ALT. Battery for Nylint Jeep

The battery I have is from an older R/C. It is a 3000mAh 7.2V. If I can find a way to mount this battery (have some ideas) would it burn anything up? Pleas dont FLAME I am XTREMELY new to this and thought this cheapo would be a good start.
Thanx,
TheTrav

Its 7.2 volt just like the stocker, if it's bigger than the stocker I wouldn't use it, if you cant mount it in the battery box it'll raise the COG and make the truck even more flip happy. It would probably quadruple your run time (stocker is 650 mah, I peak charge mine and get about an hour run time) though.

well, thinking about it, you could just whack some holes in the battery box and use it as kind of a cradle for the bat, make something to protect it and you'd be set.

if u have the jeep u can just use a stick pack and put it in the cockpit and zip tie it to the cage.

well then go crazy and have lots of wires so u can solder a pack that mounts one cell on each corner of the truck and two on top of the cage.

Hell I ve already cut this thing to hell and ripped crap off of it. I was thinkin bout the battery cradle Idea, and Ive took the seats out and put the batery flat on the "floorboard"
and the weight actually seemed to HELP. I m sure it changed my COG, but I dont believe it hurt it. I didnt flip off camber as much actually.

Thanx for the Ideas and info guys,
