Arrow * Unimogers 09' season rig " Copperhead " *

Well, after driving Ron's " Yawzer ", we decided that 2 was better than one.

here is Ron's original thread:
Yawzer's Slingshot / Hr Axle Build

This is the name I have used on my comp rig for a few years.

Copperhead's Specs:

- Slingshot chassis, pc'd black chrome
- custom MSD aluminum BOMB PROOF links
- Losi .6 shocks, Losi reds in front, silver in rear, 40wt oil
- Hitec HS 5955 TG steering servo, with custom MSD high steer delrin links
- HR MOA axles w/ RCP knuckles in front, axial plastic rear
(I'm too cheap to buy another set of RCP knuckles)
- Fubar rear lockouts by Mthead
- Integy lathe 45t motors w/ 12t pinion rear and 13t front
- Tekin FXR esc
- CC BEC @ 6.4V
- Spectrum SR3100 receiver
- MSD 1 OFF wheels, 4-DYCE with teflon coated copper color
- MSD Stainless steel screw kit
- MSD 2.2 center cap- lugnuts
- Losi rock crawler tires
- Hybrid memory foams , NWT tech
- Front & rear dig - Badd's design
- 12.5" wb and 2 5/8 "under the belly, low rider.
and last but not least - Body by FTR, sorry mike, already had it :(

The only things I didn't like about the HR axles were the servo mount and the upper link attachment, so Ron built me new ones - see 4 Link & horiz. servo for HR MOA
I clocked the rear up like everyone does, the front is fine - they seem to be somewhat clocked stock. Steering is a little more than the Axial's.

It runs as good as it looks and the 3s lipo kicks azz!

Lookin' good Ben - love that body. I still need to get that steering link from you - I'm still surprised you retired the "grounder" - It's going to be a fun 09 comp season.
See ya at the Comp this weekend.

Looks good Unimoger that should serve you well. I love the steering servo mod the stock mount is kind of in the way.

Nice looking rig. Got any pics of the upper mount you changed? That is one of the main reason I did not go with the HR axles over the bergs is because I did not want a 3 link.

yes sir, I have 16 of them, just couldn't make my comp rig do the dual dig thing as well as these axles, so it was time to try a new avenue.

I will always run tlt axles on almost all of my rigs, love them.

How are cheap ass lathe motors pro :-P? Or are they really nice motors disguised in budget motor cans

Looks like a great rig Ben. Any nekkid shots?

Some day I'll have the time to build my berg beyond a set of axles .

yep, that was a typo for sure, I copied ron's original post and didn't even catch that the front motor is a pro, the rear is a cheap as lathe, you are correct and I am not good at spell check.

thanks for the good words guys.

I have not posted naked pics, cause my wiring looks like a rats nest to say the least and is a little embarrassing, I will get some this weekend when it is cleaned up.
