X-2 I had one too top heavy for me. I went back to the stock ax-10 and it preformed way better. I am going with the benders SWX for 2009. |

the stock chassis works great, but if you feel the need to upgrade the SWX is top notch.. or any good TVP chassis.. IMO stay away from the tube type chassis, or one's that the shocks lay WAY down... |

Had a few guys around here run the edge chassis and its not a good comp chassis in my opinion. Like stated before to top heavy and just doesn't perform well for competition

They are not great for comps....I have one (disassembled now) and ran it for a few comps. Set up right they can perform ok, just takes a lot of set up and money. I ran one at the ECC this year and it did ok. Would I say get one for comp use....no! If you want a tuber go with something like a Fatdog or DMG's tubers. Check around on here for the vendors that make them, they are quite a few that can be great comp tubers.....it's all about set-up and driving style, and a good tuber helps. If someone says you cant win with a tuber they are FOS! Tell JIA you can't win with a tuber...... |

i have one, the trick is to run it set-up with droop. once you get your droop figured out, it works really well. droop is alot of trial and error. with droop dialed in, you dont really notice the top-heavy weight. i got my edge all worked out, and it crawls better than my stock chassis w/ losi crawler shocks. obviously, if i wanna do comps, i'll use my slingshot rig. below are pics of the rigs i'm talking about so you can compare and see that i'm not just talking b.s. my stock chassis rig w/ losi crawler shocks, it has the same drivetrain that the edge has. my edge rig, the droop set-up is dialed... this thing rocks. for all-out comp action, my slingshot. |

The edge was never designed to excel at comps, with that said it was also designed as a droop truck. It works very well as a droop truck. Run it tall and sprung and its gonna suck.

Still got mine, it makes a great basher. Like Kamikaze said it's not an all out comper. When it was developed it was about the first direct bolt-up conversion for the Ax-10. Plus it's not that bad on the droop set-up, sprung not so good IMO. |

ok sweet thanks! i was looking and i realized the edge is just a stock axial with a tube top. i was thinking about the slingshot i like the chassis style. i think i might go with the swx loooks good greatreviews and it comes with matching links! dont get me wrong the edge is still a great tuber iam sure you could get it dialed in well. but itn not all in the chassis its your setup and experiance. so for me iam praubly setting on the swx. thanks for the pics and you time greatly appreciated |

| The chassis is only as good as your setup!
The Edge chassis can be a serious contender. I for example placed 23rd at Nationals 2008 with mine. That means I beat plenty of Berg machines. It took me a while to get it to perform the way I wanted it to just like any other chassis. |
