Default chassis dimensions

i am creating my first crawler and i was wondering-
*how wide should my chassis plates be?
*how long should my 4 link arms be?
*how tall should my chassis plates be?
*how long should the chassis plates be?
i am gonna build a 4 link suspension mounted on 2 aluminum or steel parallel chassis plates
also if u have any good pics that show good size and designs please post them

*how wide should my chassis plates be? 3-4in will fit most trannys
*how long should my 4 link arms be? Definatly over 5in, but it really depends on the axles and wheel base
*how tall should my chassis plates be? No taller than 5in
*how long should the chassis plates be? No longer than 1 foot.

These are my opinions, they are not garrenteed to work well

Heres a rough picture of my chassis. I used carbon fiber for my chassis plates and each plate is 4" apart side to side. My links are 7 1/4" center of heim joint to center of heim joint. I'm using threaded Savage shocks mounted in this same position. I'm very happy with this so far. Makes for a little longer rig than most but I've always favored a little longer wheelbase,1:1 or scaled down.

use adel clamps. they're like the cable stays others are talking about but they are metal with a rubber liner, that will keep then from moving on the arms (links).
