Default Suspension Lift / Mod? 1:18 Scorpion

Has anyone else tried to do a suspension lift by moving the mounts for the link bars down to the bottom edge of the battery compartment/belly? I was considering this as an option instead of a "Tummy Tuck". It seems that if I moved the link bar mts and used a small triangular plate to relocate the upper shock mts that it would lift it about 3/4"?

Also has anyone cut out these slots in the link bar, so that it can twist on it's own independent insead of simply swinging like a door?

The only problem i see with doing that is that your center of gravity will then be higher and the crawler may want to flip more. Also where the links connect to the bat box, they go around this black cylinder for extra support, you would have to cut that off and re glue it to your new mount. I dunno if you understood that, but take the links off and you'll see what I'm talkin about. Hope i helped.

Hey Jason, I'm not sure if you're asking if I indeed have a Scorpion? But, I do. I only used this image cuz, I don't know yet how to load a pic onto my profile.

I'm still thinking about the suspension lift idea, and the link bar thing.

if you flip the center link over in the back it will lift the back a little/but if you do the front it makes the steering dig in so i only did the back!but it will gain some!

its the peice in between the two swingarms!

did you extend the front also, maybe that added to my digging in effect?

it just seemed to catch more, maybe i will check it out some more!!
i have my back extended about 1.5" & flipped with my springs attached to center pivot, it sits pretty high.

no I did not extend the front too. It definately picked the axel up more and alot less contact with rocks.
