Thumbs up New Mods (tummy tuck-battery-etc.)

Here is a link to the mods i ve been workin on.

extended wheelbase bout 1/2" F/R
gutted batt. compartment and moved electronics
shaved the tummy
tires are cut and flipped (no pics)
drank mucho cervesa's

nice job, Im planning on doing the same thing, except just relocating the battery to the cab of my F100 body. how far up did you go? Past the start of the locator nothches on the dog bones?

STS......i actually left just a little plastic and stopped right B4 them.
Me and my son crawledfor a while 2day, and he has a scorpion, so i took the bodies off and
the difference is VERY noticeable.

ALSO....the weight of the new battery seems to have made me MUCH MORE STABLE.
I would be careful of ptting the battery in the bed, it mighjt throw off ur COG. Mine is dead center and it helped for sure.

Im putting it in the cab not the bed. Actually now I am thinking about pulling off the F100 body and going to a tubed single seat buggy and mounting battery behind seat. I do hate to put that weight up top, but I would like the electronics as water resistant as possible.

sorry STS, cant read for @$#% !! good luck on the tube chassis, this is my first "crawler"
I usually stick to my 1:1 jeep, but saw these on jeepforum and couldnt resist.

I dont know if I m gonna try to wateproof the elecronics or not but thats a good idea
I try to stay on the proving grounds(AKA-my all rock retaing wall) and keep it dry, or my woman wont let me crawl inside.
