Default eletronics

can i use a traxxas xl1 in the 1/18 crawler or will it fry it. its motor limit is 17 turns with a 540 motor?

I doubt seriously that you will have any problems. There was initially some concern about amp draw, but with the gearing being so low, the motors don't have to work very hard. Plus, like someone mentioned in another thread (Toyminator, I believe), if these motors were pulling some higher amp draws at stall or full load, they wouldn't have used such small gauge wiring.

Agreed. Definitely wire them parallel...that's the way they are configured on the original controller board. I think Toy tried wiring his up in series and had all sorts of problems and poor performance.
