Yes the "Super" clod is out. They gave it a new bug catcher and grill and all the red parts are now blue. Other than that I think everything else is pretty much the same. I've only seen one for about 10 minutes and didnt really look over it too closely.
I agree they should have done the Bruiser/Mounty again.

You're right. I mean, so what if Clods win all the comps, that doesn't mean anything....

you guys are on crack, with those blue shocks and bumpers, it'll win all comps. I bet it could win against any 1:1 truck...

I don't know what's so special about it, it's mechanically identical to the o.g. Clod. All they did was change the color of a few parts, take the Chevy bow tie off the grill and put a "4x4x4," replace the sledge hammer dude with some kind of cheap immitation Wolverine, and make a funky rock desgin on the body. I guess I wouldn't mind if someone came up and gave me one, but I'm not gonna blow my money on something more expensive than the Clod I already have on the way.

Yeah, its definetely the exact same thing.

What makes me happy that it came out is Tamiya will be making parts for our babies even longer ;)

Why mess with a good thing. The clod is one of the OG's, proven design that has a huge support base. The reason they redid the packaging is cuz they lost the license to run the Chevy emblem.
You people shouldnt diss companies that build product that we need to make crawling a bigger part of the hobby. Just like IMEX, the tires they came out with my not be exactly what eveyone wants (like that would ever happen ) but at least they made an effort. And when they asked for our input it turned into a shit flinging festival.

Ok, I'm off my soapbox now .

Your absolutly right grizz. Well said.

As much as I like the shatfies I am really leaning towards getting a "Tubicon" chassis with clod parts.

Nice sig! Once you go clod you can't go back ;) I personally haven't seen a shafty that you can lay on its side and have it stay there! (I suppose you could do it, but the tranny would be so low it would be a car)
