Thumbs up Fubar Crawlers Template

I've been talking with John at Fubar Crawlers for the past couple of months about fabricating a wheelbase/track width/body width/body height template for use at my club's 1.9 and 2.2 comps. I got a package in the mail today from him and this is what was in it:
Sorry the pics kinda suck

I used my Losi 1.9 to demonstrate some of it's features

Wheelbase is set to maximum of 8.5" for 1.9 on the template

Track width is set to maximum of 8" for 1.9 on the template

Body length is set to maximum of 9" for 1.9

It also has settings for measuring body height and body width.

The template also has settings to measure all of the above for 2.2 class and has a marked 15 inch ruler on the reverse side.

John said the template should be available for purchase on his Fubar Crawlers Website in the near future.

Those of you that know how well built his crawler stands are will be happy with this template.
All in all, he did an excellent job

Great idea.
Does that one template do all dimensions for both 1.9 and 2.2?
That makes it easy to see if all rigs are legal.

Yes, it's for both 1.9 and 2.2. I had my 1.9 handy when I took the crappy pics

Thanks guys! Glad you like it Matt!!

Yeah, it was ALL Matt's idea, in fact he had to push me to draw it up I just customized it and cut it...

Gotta give credit where credit is due..

Here's a screen shot for a better view, they can be etched with any logo or club name, within reason.. The scale on the reverse side is 180* of the cutouts so the cutouts don't interfere with the scale. Made from .125" delrin with a nice matte finish.

You can use the ruler on the reverse side for that if needed, but John may be able to squeeze that in on future ones

We use a rod with markings on it for tech. We have minimum gate dimensions on ours too so that it can be used when setting up a course.

That's a real nice setup!

This was a GREAT idea matt, John did a great job . I will post up pics of ours as well. John's work is top notch, we will be using ours at every comp.

I am having him build one for scale nats as well.
