| Tranny alternatives
Anyone go off the beaten path and try like a losi or AE tranny or even something else besides maxx or pede/rustler trannies? Im sure they have different ouput shaft sizes????????????????

I am wondering why more pepole aren`t running the Tamiya 3 speed, if I`m right it has something like 32:1 first gear, I`m assumeing it is cost related since you also have to buy ($100) or build a transfer case for 4wd.. I`ve seen where some have said you have to deal with brakeing issues with the trannys for nitro trucks, and also most are auto shifting 2 speeds.

I'm building a custom trans to fit both the TLT and TXT. It will have Tmaxx gears and one TXT gear. Should have lower ratio than the Tmaxx trans. Also very compact.

I was going to use a AE tranny but then i ran out of money and scrapped the project |

i'm going all custom on my crawler and using a bbq roster thing for a super low gear ratio
