whats the most ideal wheelbase for clod chassis? is 17-19 in wheelbase to long?

Right now, I'd say clods WB is good @ about 16" If your runnin a shafty, maybe a little more to compensate for high CG. 19" will kill the breakover though. |

Here's some other opinions. http://www.rccrawler.com/postt1677.html Like I said before, it depends on terrain, tire size, and what the guys you crawl with are running. However, I am super happy with mine at 16 1/4". At the last UTRCRC event there were some real long (19" and more) rigs but the 16" rigs were the winners. There are other factors involved with that but if ya want a number, I would suggest 16". |

YEah what they said... We have tryed everything from 14" on up and around 16" seems to be the magic number. |

Wheelbase doesn't matter on a clod believe it or not. It can be 14 16 or 24 inches. It will crawl just the same with any wheelbase.....badly!   |

i once had my clod at 55" but a good wheelbase is 16 thats what i have it at right now
