Which do you prefer, and why? 2.2 or 1.9, and why? I am looking at getting a crawler, but I can't really decide which size I want. So, give me your explanations as to why you bought what you did... I really do appreciate it. Scott |

I chose 2.2 mainly for the support at the time. Plus I like the bigger stuff. But with Axial coming out with the SXC10 and Losi's MRC, along with RC4WD answering the call of scale nuts, the 1.9 market is really ramping up. |

I like the 2.2 for: Bigger rocks, easier for an old guy to work on (hands are not as nimble as they once were). However: I am thinking about a MRC for indoor practice. My house is a humble size, plus the boss may frown on big rocks in the house. |

I went with a 1.9 due to cost factor for my first rig. I don't regret it at all. I love the smaller size. It is much easier to find good terrain than a 2.2 ... I do want to get a 2.2 for my next rig though. Seems like the comps here have more 1.9 rigs show up than 2.2 I think a 1.9 is good to get your feet wet and when you get ready and have some driving experience, step up to a 2.2 with the dig and all the other bells an whistles.

1.9 for me. 2.2 just doesn't look as scale to me and that is what I am after. Makes the terrain a little more challenging as well. I was going over some pretty good stuff rather easy with the 2.2's. But, the same terrain with the 1.9s? All different world. Gimme the 1.9s. |

If you are just driven it around and you got rocks, 2.2 will go more places If you just driven it around and you got no rocks, 1.9 it don't take a lot of rocks to have fun. If you plan on competing with your rig ,then see what class they run the most and go with that one. |

Being in Southern California, and planning on competeing, I can tell you that there is no shortage of either 1.9 or 2.2 . They are both plentiful. Scott |

I have both. I like my 2.2 MOA simply because of all the options and parts support. I like my 1.9 Losi MRC because the 1.9 class rules limit what you can do as far as mods go. If I had to choose between a 1.9 and 2.2, I would go with the 1.9. It's more fun IMO and doing good relies more on driver skill than "technology"..... | |

i just changed my 2.2 to a 1.9 i think it depends on rock options -- the 1.9 is more challenged in simple rock formations and piles, which gives me more places and terrain to crawl on. If the rig isn't challenged - it gets boring. Super's are great i have one of these too -- the ONLY place i have any fun with it is Kennedy's Ledges (massive rock formations, cliffs, quary, etc). Otherwise every other place the super goes around here is CAKE. You could try to do a 1.9 that is not a "mini", trying for the best of both worlds (have a set of 2.2's and just swap and crawl 2.2 when you want to). Of course I don't know how that would work for you in competitions, but just-for-fun that would be a realistic possiblity i think. You can get a set of 2.2 moabs & wheels real cheap now too - cuz everyone is wanting 1.9's and G8 or Blue compounds i guess |

I absolutely love my 2.2! I love the size, the ability of it, the dig, etc... That being said, I am going full blown into my MRC and am more excited about this little guy than I thought I would be. It depends on what you are after. Comps, or backyard. Scale or couch. Options are unlimited. I say get both. |

No love for a super? I like them all, but 2.2s are definitely the most popular at the moment. Just look at all the tire options you have with a 2.2 crawler.
