hi guys im putting a new super together with txt axles and a r2d trans what do you think the best motor and speed control would be to use

well the best motor would be a puller 7t but that 80 bucks. Depending on the weight of you crawler i would do like a 55t. Since you are using the r2d it is geared really low so you will have tons of torque so that not a big issue. then i would also get a tekin frx or run a mamba max. If you use lipo youll gett a better run time.

hey thanks i'm thinking of going with a sidewinder and 3 cell lipo but not sure on the motor or pinion.

IM not sure of the R2's gear ratio... but the TXT's are a 2:1... so, you might have to run some kind of gear reduction.

i am running a GD600 (gear reduction) with a ratio of 3.8:1 on a txt trans with a ratio of 17:1
and i am running a 12t pinion on my motor... do the math and it is a 215.1:1 ratio...

you probably didnt need the last part...but, i figured id toss some numbers out for ya.

well i try 8 cell and a 50 turn with a 14 tooth and there just no power it wont even climb the wall.
