| motor question....how to tell
when i first got into crawling i bought a used clod from the bay. well i was told that it had 55t axiom motors. but the more i think about it it think they are more like 45t. is there any way to tell what they are cuz i dont see antything that says it on them

Some builders will place a sticker inside stating the # of winds. Otherwise, its pretty hard to tell by looking, and I couldn't imagine you would really be able to tell what it was by driving it unless you had one to compare it to. |

sometimes there will be a really small # scribed on the motor shaft...like 55t or 45t

It's a restickered Integy. The arm should have a stamp on it or a mark of some type. If not, yer pretty much SOL.....as there is no way to really tell after that point, as without the wire and blank size, along with a control sample, you can't really measure the motor windings. Later EddieO |

You could unwind it and count them that way. |

or just go get 2 more 55t and know for sure that they are 55t :-P
