| First Tuber attempt
This is a clod based tuber using the same 1/6th ranger body as RC_Ranger. I'm going for a more or less scale truggy. The body had a 17" wheelbase. I cut the bed off and extended it to 18". Using 1/4" and 3/16" brass tube. Making links using the how-to on the main page. Here are some pics, lemme hear some comments. |

Looks good! Got two truggy's myself... Only thing I'd recommend would be to change the front end design so that if you decide to run with the body off it looks more like a buggy. |

The joints aren't obviously as strong as steel or aluminum welded. Just make sure to fish-mouth all the joints and use solid wire solder with good flux. Since it isn't as strong as welding it together, i just made sure to use that much more tube and solder joints to make up for it. Thanks for all the compliments. I'll be ordering some g-made upper link mounts and lower link mount/braces come this weekend. Since the wheelbase is 18" I'm thinkin about running Kong's. How would the cold axle's hold up to these? | |

Yeah, I thought it looked a little too familiar to be coincidence . I like that truck too, reminds me of a monster truck. I`d like to cut my body in half and make a cage like that for my truck to protect the engine.

It would be cool if you could do ifs and a 4 link in the rear. Then it would look just like the real thing. But its awesome how it is.

Well i'm in the process of doing a solid-axle swap on my 2003 ranger so it's only appropriate to make the r/c have a SFA.
