Default LOSI Crawler Shock Replacement Parts

Anyone know where to get replacement shock caps for the 4" Losi Crawler Shocks. Its the plastic part that screws into the shock body. Mine is stripped and leaks like heck and will eventually pop off again.

Thanks.

I guess while I am upgrading I should ask if there is an aluminum version of a shock cartridge that fits the losi shock?

Someone made one years ago but never worked as good as the stock plastic ones. Get some RPM shocks tools for the Losi shock too, makes it way easier to tighten down without stripping them out. http://www.rpmrcproducts.com/product...s/wrenches.htm

It didnt strip when I was tightening. I have always used a deep socket that I have that fits fine. Same for running the threaded spring retainer up and down. When dirt is in the threads its a pain to do by hand. It happened just after I got some 45t motors and went to 3s lipo and was driving like I still had 55t on nimh batts so carnage ensued. Who knew .

Its going to cost me $20 for replacements which will fail again. Or some 108mm Integy MSR11 Rock Crawler shocks I found while searching that have ball ends on both sides for $30. Anyone ever run these ?http://www.horizonhobby.com/Products...dID=INTC22913S Yes I know the link is the 88mm version.

I just tighten mine by hand and then I just use some pliers to get it tight. I recently had to replace my caps as well.

if you are worried about leaky shocks, you probably picked the worst ones to "solve" the problem. i have never had one of those cartridges pop out and i have owned over 10 sets of losi shocks. the only time mine have ever leaked have been when the TiNi coating wears off the shaft

That must be my problem. Plumbers (teflon) tape goes along way.

I have ran Losi shocks for years. I have had maybe two leak out of 60 shocks and i use them on race monster trucks jumping 5 feet high just trying to break them. Just make sure you don't cross thread or over tighten and you should never have a problem.

First off thank for all the replies.

Mine leak very little. I actually ripped the shock cartridge out of the shock body when bound up and figured it would happen again eventually. I only suggested the Integy shocks because they didnt have the plastic shock cartridge.
