Default s3r dig and spur question

Anyone with the s3r dig...

can you grab your spur and check the end play for me? I seem to have some end play and do not think it is right. there is only a bearing inside the housing that goes on the spur shaft. So I don't know if this normal or not.

Thanks.

The tranny bearing set up is the same as stock. There should be two bearings on the spur shaft, and the other two also. There will be a tiny amount of play in an assembled unit.

Does there need to be a bearing on the spur shaft on the outside
Of the housing? I have one on the inside but not the outside.

I actually have a wedding to go to this sat. But I'm down any time.

should be a bearing in the diff case(rear bearing, back of tranny case/dig) and a bearing in the front tranny case. Then a spacer over the front bearing, and then the pin for the spur gear mounting plate.

Also, I'd add if you have the slipper, there is even more play than without. There's several threads on here about this, you can shim it a bit to help but there is definitely some play on that top shaft with the slipper.

No slipper on mine. I have the bearings on the inside of the tranny case, on the outside is what I'm wondering about. It looks like there should be one there. I need pics.

That reminds me, I was going to post up about mike and crew over at the concord hobby town. I will in a bit.

It looks like a bearing could fit in there, but you use the spacer from your old tranny setup to put in there.

The spacer is a gun-metal color. But it does not fit in the new housing. I am pretty sure I am missing something, but do not know what it is.

I sent you an e-mail, you need to find P/N AX30489-spacer 5X6.9X4.8 That was the spacer I was talking about.

Got the email. Thank you so much. I hope I can find that part. That has to be the problem.
