Default Opinions on Starter Rig

My buddy is thinking about getting started and I was wondering what you guys would buy if you were gonna start out fresh with no experience. Im trying to steer him in the right direction with good stuff that is upgradable and user friendly.

My Choices:

Axial ARTR
FXR & 55t or 45t combo
Spektrum DX 2.0 or 3.0
Castle BEC
Hyp. 0606I
Max Amps 1100 3 cell
JR 8711

What would you go with? Any votes for MOA right off the bat?

That's a great start I love my axial and the parts list is good. I would go with the 45 or 35 and not a 55. Also RC4WD has some great ARTR's coming out at a good price point a bully set up at 299 I think. And the Losi will most likely be good when it comes out.

All the electronics look good...i would get the 45t motor for that little bit more wheel speed....But i personally would start of MOA...You can get the Enroute kit for $300 and run that and be competitive then upgrade as the money comes in. After you but the axial then all the aluminum stuff so it wont break as often you might as well of bought the berg...IMO
