Default Traxxas big bore shock question

I just bought some traxxas big bore shocks. They move nice and fluid without springs. I am using axial springs on these shocks. They fit but the shock seems very stiff. As you can see in the picture the shocks are pretty much fully extended as it sits. I know they are new shocks and haven't had time to fully break in, but i'm wondering if these springs are to long and I shock go with the losi shocks like everyone else? Would these springs cause my problem?

Try Losi 2.75" White or Grey springs.

LOSB5147 or LOSB5146

Are losi springs different lengths than axial springs?

Just answered my question by doing some research. Losi white springs are 2.75" long and have a spring rate of 1.8lbs. Axial white springs are 3.5" long and have a spring rate of 1.7lbs. Looks like i'll need to get some losi springs. I think i'll go with losi whites up front and losi reds in the rear.

Looks like yo might need some fuel tubing on the top cap to loosen them up.

I am using fuel tubing up top. I cut it just wide enough to fit in the top. I was wondering if using longer fuel tubing would act more like a ball joint. I really don't like how it stiff up top.

yes the springs are to long from the axial the axial shocks are a five inch shock vs the traxxas bb's are a 4 inch shock. and as for the tops of the shocks you can take a piece of sand paper and bore out the hole to except the jato long ball and put some orings on them. if i remember i'll post a pic of mine. oh yeah use the losi white 2.75" spring
