they actually all allow about the same.
If you are using rod ends at each end of your suspension links, you can easily get over 90 degrees of flex. I like the Kyosho, XTM ends and Traxxas ends for smaller applications.

My son uses the Kyosho 6.8 ends on his Twin. They are pretty beefy and have taken some pretty hard licks without failing.

The ones I'm running now are by Duratax. They are SUPER BEEF. They dwarf the 6.8's.

Rod ends

Balls

I use TRAXXAS rod ends for most of my applications. They are slightly more mobile than the INTEGY rod ends I have used.

And the difference from the Duratrax ones to the TRAXXAS ones. At least the big thing that stands out to me is the price. You can get the TRAXXAS ones for around $.035/ea while the duratrax ones are closer to $3.00/ea.

If you are going to spend that much on plastic, why not spend the extra money and get some titanium ones?

Yes,they are pricey, but in my opinion they are worth it. I can't remember how much the TI ends are but I think they were about $7 to $10 each. Thats a pretty good jump, more than double the price. I used to run the 1/4" metal rod ends from QA1,at $2.55 each they were cheaper than these Duratrax ends but they were 5 times as heavy. In this application they were dang near bullet proof but they were just to dang heavy. I'm not sure how much the TI ends weight but I'm sure they are the same if not more than my Duratrax ends and are quite a bit smaller. Stronger, yes,is the strength of the TI needed,IMHO.....no.

IMHO the bad thing with the plastic rod ends are the fact that they wear by stretching and you get slack around the ball. I've got probly 2 dozen Traxxass ends that are wore so badly the ball hardly stays in the race. These Duratrax ends are so much thicker around the ball I can't see them stetching. IMHO,they won't wear out in my lifetime . Granted they might, you know what I'm trying say.

I know that guys run the Traxxass ones and they work,I'll not argue that fact. Running the Traxxass ends you also are stuck running whimmpy #6 all thread and what not for your links. These Duratrax ends, you have to run #10. Alot stronger and another benifit to these. The #10 is ALOT less likely to bend if your running it as links and/or steering linkage. The TI ends also force you to use #6 sized material. You get a super strong end and have a WHIMPY link, kindly defeats the purpose if you ask me

I'm not arguing with you or anything, just stating the facts to why I decided to run these. I know the Traxxass ends work, personally though,I feel they are to whimpy. With these Duratrax ends you get a REALLY strong end AND a strong link.

yeah i couldn't use the wimpy traxxas ends anymore either. I went to the dubro monster rod ends and never looked back. I have only actually broke one rod end. the rest of the time i broke the wimpy 6-32 hardware. time to go bigger

I'm a longtime user of the Kyosho 6.8s.

I'm not saying the heavier ones have don't have there advantages. But I look at the price. I can replace 8.5 of the Traxxas ones (if I have problems with them) Before I reach the cost of the $3.00 ones. Granted, I will use heavier ones if the other ones keep breaking on every outing.

Yes,they are big and a good price to boot. They run a 10mm ball,my Duratrax ends run a 9mm ball, not a real big difference there. The plastic body of the ones from the crawler store a beefy looking, one thing concerns me though. The slit down the middle. Like I said earlier, the plastic ends wear by getting slop around the ball. Would this slit cause them to wear quicker? Maybe not but it very well could also. The other thing was the hardware. Running a monster end with small links and hardwear seems to defeat the purpose to me. Those run 5mm hardwear and the Duratrax use #10 sized hardwear.

I'm not dogging on these others, they are pretty beefy and probly a good end. I did concider these when buying. The Duratrax ends appealed to me better. Plus my LHS gave me a better deal than tower.
