| Different ratios front and rear?
Has any one tried different diff gear ratios front and rear? I have seen it in the 1:1 world, but nothing here, and I keep hearing about optional gear ratios. The whole point of different ratios is so that the rear is slower than the front, less likely to flip over backward on a steep climb. Granted, the main reason in the 1:1 is because they are running two different kinds of axles that don't have the same ratios available, but scaled down I don't think it would cause too much stress on parts.

Technically guys have been doing it for years in Clods. As far as I know,Axial is the first to bring out gear sets just for that reason. |

I just put the lower rear set in the rear and geared the pinion up (16 tooth). I like it. |

i have the optional gears from axial in my rig now and have two comps on them and i notice a huge difference from the hd gears. i can climb verticals alot easier with the overdrive front, plus reduced tt . worth it.
