| New idea?
Here's my new idea to improve rock crawling performance--moveable ballast. Since the battery is probably the heaviest thing on our rigs, we could make a sliding tray and slide the battery either forward/backwards or left/right using a lightweight servo. This could improve our c.o.g. when on an angle. Has this been done before? Thoughts?

if you could get the mechanism light and simple, it would be worth a shot. It seems like something similar has been tried, but I can't remember anything about it. Maybe it was just talk.

Often thought about that for a fullsize vehical. Have not seen anybody build one yet. I think batteries maybe to big to move around. Lead weights might be better? The axles would be a good location for moveable ballast.

Smaller packs can be located into more spots in the truck without issues. Zip-ties are great for holding the small packs down in those tight spots. | |

I think it is a good idea but would be tough to impliment. Most chassies have become so small that you do not have a lot of room to play with.
