Default Droop set up?

I was hoping someone could help me by telling me what kind of shock oil is preffered in a droop set up. I have a cliff climber with tmaxx shocks with 12.5 wb. I want to run droop since the tmaxx springs are really stiff. Thanks for any help!

Go to the hardware store and get some springs to put internally.

I have my AX10 shocks set up mostly droop, but with a small spring on the outside to give some compression when landing.

I'm using the internal shock springs from TCS that I think would work in the Traxxas shock, 70 weight oil, and a small hardware spring.

At rest:

Compressed:

Flexed:

The weight of shock oil depends entirely on how heavy your truck is and how you want it to drive. Personally I would start at 40 and work it out from there.

I like a heavy wheel, and 10000 diff oil. no springs.

My truck is probably right around 6lbs...possibly a little less.

The 70 sometimes seems too light, but it works well for me.

I run about 80% droop and run both springs inside the shock,it's nice having some sprung compression using a short soft spring.
I use 5000k diff oil,on a 91/2lb rig with alot of wheel weight in the front's.
It works well and looks very realistic when it cycles,i would never go back to a full sprung setup after this.

Goood info here everyone...thanks a bunch....I will have to order some of these internal spring and I think I have some 80 shock oil from traxxas when I had my maxx. I do appreciate the help....another question though, what are the advantages to a droop set up? Thanks again!
