Default New updated 1/18 with 2.2's

I just posted one pics for now. I'm late for work. Got to go.

Here is what has been done.
Belly up w/ skid plate
Extended wheelbase using pen trick. I didn't like the strength of that so I JB welded the center joint front and rear for better stability. 2.2's, dove tailed rear tub and paint.

Here is a side by side shot. Oh I didn't mention this. It does climb up steps with ease.

Just got done gearing it down. I think I'm going to put rear steer on it. And also thinking of making a PVC tube frame for one. You'll just have to see. I made a Stick style frame last night but didn't like it to much. Oh well only wasted 3 bucks.

What I want to do is use one that about 2in round and use just one peice. Right in the middle. Cut it long ways down the center, so I have a U-Shape. Then I'll put may battery up front and the board out back. Then I just mount my links to the side of the PVC. Then just make some body mounts. I figured that the bottom of that PVC would slide over anything. I be working on it some on Mon. and Tues....

Nope. I thought that the plastic PVC is made out of would slide over rocks and logs easy. Plus I could make it longer without extending the links to long. If I can make the center link just long enough to clear the arms so it can flex good. And then just cut the PVC to my desired wheelbase bolt up my arms and links.

Default I am diggin' the 2.2

That 2.2 Jeep looks awesome. I really like the paint job. I just did a 2.2 on mine as well but with Pro-Line Dirt Hawgs. Without doing a w.b. extension, I found that Moabs were a bit too much...but the Hawgs hook-up great!! I think it about time to cut up my Jeep and extend the wheelbase. btw, gearwise...how is everythijng holding up? Are you having any issues with your steering now that you have some of those big boys on there? Keep up the good work.

I just drilled two holes in both wheels and ran a bolt through them. That way I can just unbolt them and still use them. No harm done. Believe it or not but it crawls a hell of a lot better like that.

It doesn't turn as sharp, but the COOL factor out weighs that. It does climb a lot better as well. I haven't broke a thing yet. Not even heard a gear click. I want to do a gear reduction and rear steer as well.
