Default Body Swap - Lower COG

So I got bored today and after looking at the video

I decided to lower the COG without cutting the springs and lowering the ride height.

So After some hard thinking I decided that the most weight up high was the body.

So I looked around and found a donor body from an old Sears Lobo 4WD truck I had laying around circa 1982.

Body weighs less than half (approx 1/4) of the Scorpion body and should lower the COG significantly.

Off it came, trimmed the 1/4 panels, made a few holes, and mounting brackets for the front and here it is.

I retried the same rockpile as in the Ascension video and low and behold the close to backflip at the top did not occur. The truck stayed planted and now climbs much easier due to the reduced weight up top. I tried it over and over and it was rock steady.

I aslo think it looks cooler than the Scorpion body.

you can also lower the stock jeep body on the chassis a bit if you wanted to keep the jeep body.

Yup kinda looks like a big version of my 4 yr olds A-Tech Leo-X (aka Venom Mini Giant).

I had the Scorpion body on my Nylint not the Jeep, I thought about dovetailing the rear to avoid rubbing the body but decided against it, because the body is so cool looking, and my dovetailing skills are non existant. Hehehe.

Q: Is anyone having problems viewing the videos? Someone on RCU said they were requesting additional files when viewed.
