Hey
I have a e-maxx with gecko frame and I an running a stock stamped motor with a stock traxxas ESC and when I run it for 5-10 minuted the ESC is real hot I am am running a stock tranny with 12/72 locked difs. Why is it getting so hot?

the tyre size , vehicle weight , any driveline binding? that ratio seems like the problem to turn 4 big tyres, locked, think of the extra strain on the motor and esc from 4 big rollers locked full time 4x4 with the stresses of crawling. Id get a gd600 on there and it will solve all problems.simple upgrade

the stock stinger motor sucks...it doesn't have enough power and torque to get out of its own way.it's causing everything else to work twice as hard.. change motors

What is a gd600 and where would i get one.

I have masher tire on maxx rims. no binding that I can see. Would a stock e-maxx motor work? and the frame is a geko knock off home made works great. I will post picture soon.
