| *UPDATE JAN 06, 2006* Headlights Work!
For you that checked out my last thread on the winch I was fabricating, good news it is mounted and has been used. Everything works and so does the controller, the motor pulls really strong when the gear is set to "Low". I had to build a new winch mount out of sheetmetal (the plastic one shatterd as soon as I put a coat of primer on???) I also put on some headlights, fog lights and brake lights. I removed the window from the front and put on a "stinger" flip nose bar. As you can see one of my lights is out, I hit a rock dead on and craked the bulb. Tomorrow I will post some videos/pictures of the winch in action (It was too dark when I was finished) I hope you enjoy these pictures for now. Check back for the video Last edited by ColquittCustom405; 01-07-2006 at 01:53 AM. |

Well today was my first field run of the winch. Everything worked great! The ONLY problem (if you want to call it that) was if your going to pull a rig at a 75 degree or more incline you need to connect the tow strap on the back, to offset the weight. Besides that, this b!tch pulled and did everything I wanted it to do. I had alot of fun. One line I took I needed the winch to get grip on the front, of course it shifted my weight and I got over. It's perfect for keeping your balance, or trying a new line if you don't want to backup to far. Here are some pictures of the run, but most of all the video! check it out and lemme know what you fellas think.! You know if a guy wanted to, you could buy the 1/18 and use the rear, sell the front to somebody that wants rear steer.

That looks very unsafe. The GI joe was standing right next to the cable! Also there were no line weights on it. Looks awsome |
