Default Lengthen the wheelbase

Did a search and I have seen some pics, but . .

~~~~~**NEWBIE QUESTIONS ALERT**~~~~~
When stretching the wheelbase (mine's the Scorpion), how/ where do you lengthen the wires? Does it matter? What gauge do you use?
From the axle motor or the other end?
TIA
I didn't have to extend the wires. Take the cover off and you'll see you got a little bit more wiring to play with. Just run it through the hole it's currently in. My extra slack was held down with a screw.
I just unsoldered the wires on the board and then spliced some nice speaker wire to the motor wires, heatshrunk, and then soldered the speaker wire to the board.
