| custom fabbed armor
I decided to join in the fun and start customizing my crawer. Here's some parts I fabbed up for it. rear bumper and tire carrier rock sliders front and rear skids It's nothing pretty, I just wanted it to be functional. Hopefully, if nothing breaks, i'll get to test it all out tomorrow... I've been having a run of bad luck. I already broke two pins in the axels and the pitman arm snapped on me yesterday. But oh well, it's all part of the fun of rock crawling... |

You can make a new pitman arm with some steel rod stock and a 3/8" 1/4" drive socket cut down. Axle pins, just jb weld the whole collar to the shaft and fixes that. The fab work looks good, but i'm guessing you've not wheeled much with the spare or do alot of flat wheeling because these things backflip enough as it is... |

i haven't wheeled it with the spare tire yet, but you're right, there'll probably be too much weight back there. so i may not use it, i totally dig the way it looks though | ||

Where did you find the material for the skids and bumper? I've been trying to find thin guaged aluminum, but I can't find any.
