| Screw size?
I am trying to put together an order on mcmaster.com, but ran into a snag. I don't know what the normal thread pitch or thread size is? I ran out of Stainless screws and need some more. What would you expect to find in a Maxx kit, for example? That's what I have always used and they work perfectly. |

The Traxxas Kits use metric...Most are 3x10mm and 3x8mm there are some 2.6x8mm... I like using 4-40 and 6-32. If you are builting a crawler you can use any size you like. And 4-40 and 6-32 and easy to find say at Home Depot.. Hope this helps.

im not totally sure, but i seem to remember reading that you need a .5 pitch for the metric stuff. however, i also use mostly 4-40 and 6-32 stuff because you can find it anywhere.

M3x.5 is the most commomly used. Here's a link to a tap drill chart for both standard and metric. http://www.engineersedge.com/tap_drill_chart.htm |
