| Voltage tidbits Well after now snapping the drive coupler in half, both axle hub couplers, and stripping out the low range inside the planetary, i had some time to waste waiting on jb weld to dry. There is alot of steer parts in my front now... I went ahead and gutted out all of the selector equipment and removed the leads from the boards while connecting the white and black selector switch together to prevent the board from sending power to a motor that is no longer with us Tidbit 1. The drive motors receive MORE voltage in reverse than forward Tidbit 2. The steering motor receives MORE voltage to the LEFT than the RIGHT I also disconnected all of the steering and drive stuff from the front motor and steer motor, got them at about half max rpm and sprayed the brushes with some electrical cleaner, wow they sped up double time just from the lack of friction, i was doing this to see if maybe the brushes would seat up better as i saw the contacts were sparking in small spots and not abroad, its much better now and even "seems" to steer quicker and SLAM the stops more. |
