Default dig or 4ws

general question: what i better for crawling? dig or 4ws? there is no competition, so no rules apply. i just want to beat my friends with my ax10 ;) at least it's ax10 (my rig) against venom creeper.

If you only have the choice of 1, go with 4ws.

I have to disagree with you Kenny, I found my AX10 very unstable on the rocks when steering with the rear wheels.

With that said, 4WS is the easiest and cheapest to set up.

maybe i should set up a poll
i have installed a dig - but making it 4ws seems fun as well. i have 3-channel remote only - so i have to choose one option.

Dig will turn tighter than 4ws and help out on climbs.

4ws hands down. Being able to control where the rear tires go is a much bigger advantage than dig.

I had all wheel steer on my stock TLT truck (my first sort of crawler) and haven't had it since but it did turn better than my current ig does but it couldn't climb for dog do do. It could be fun to have 4 w steer and fromt and rear dig.

I have to hand it to 4ws from what I've seen. It's alot easier than having to switch the front/rear power of your rig off then continue as opposed to just turning with no breaks in the run.

i myself run 4ws and cant see how a dig would be better were i crawl. seen guys use a dig in the same situations, both my truck and theirs will go the same places, however im getting there faster. however the key to 4ws is having seperate control from the front wheels, without it the truck is unstable.

My Punk dig on my Berg allows me to turn on a DIME!!! 4WS can't get close to the radius I can get with my dig. Plus having front and rear dig can point you in any direcion you choose, not to mention climbing and drop off's. I still have 4WS on my Pimpcane super, but that has a 4 channel which allows me to have front and rear dig if I need them. MUST have the dig!!!

dissagree, having dig on vertical climbs is a must to suck the front end up and over the top of the face the engage 4wdand proceed over, does 4ws do this? No. you can maybe wiggle the crap out of it and with leprechaun luck make it over. But Dig is the way to go IMO

I am with Grizz on this one 4WS.

I know on Supers I build that do not have but a 3 channel radio they all get 4WS over dig.I know several of or club members that run 4WS supers switched to dig and soon switched back.
