Default wheel spacer mods?

is it just me or are these spacers made from the most brittle plastic known to man? I've been drilling them for air holes and it's everything I can do to keep them from shattering. I've already had to glue one back together twice! :( Anybody else having this problem?

Why do you need airholes in your wheels? The tires are almost too soft already for the weight of this thing. Or do you have some major weight reduction?

I just wanted some better tread deflection without cutting & siping. Hey, if it's too much I can always tape over the holes.

I found the black spacer to be brittle, these I think were in the older wheels ...but the newer wheels for the updated chassis are different ...they are white or greenish color and are alot easier to work with.I just picked up 2 spare sets of wheels so I could cut and sip and still compare to stock and the tread cutting makes all the difference. I can easily climb over objects that I cannot with stock tires.

Exactly. I have the old chassis with the black spacers. I've found a lot of little tiny holes and plenty of patience work great.
