| Stick build ????'s
Hello, I just got around to building my Stick and have a couple of Q's. I purcahsed a set of Rc Guy adjustable motor mounts and a pair of Integy 45t motors. When I mount the set up in the gear box one of the suspension links is rubbing the end of the motors. I thought i read a post about another brand of mounts that were thinner and did away with this problem but cant seem to find it. What do all you stick owners use in your setup?? Is there an easy solution to my problem? Any help would be appreciated. Derrick |

Is the link rubbing a lot or just a little? When I used links, I made one that was bent just enough to clear the motor. I ended up building a linkless stick, and that solved my problem for good. |

Do you have the aluminum spacers between the backbone and the link? I just drilled out my gearcases to allow the use of 9 tooth pinions and I have all kinds of room.

But here is a link to more from the crawler build off: http://photobucket.com/albums/b230/r...20Build%20Off/ The linkless idea came from Grover, I just did it a little different. Last edited by SVEN; 01-24-2006 at 09:23 PM. | |
