| Your favorite kit to build.
I want you guys to list your favorite kits to build. I hate buying RTR, and I love building kits. My most recent kit is the Honcho, and it was pretty fun, so much so, that I'm going to get another one for my girlfriend just so I can build it lol (it will be replacing a modded wheelyking crawler I made for her) On that note, I would like to build a Tamiya one day they look like alot of fun! |

my favorite kit is any kit, doesnt matter what it is. nothing like opening a box and finding bags full of little pieces, and we cant forget that new r/c smell.

I like buying the parts I want and putting together my own kit. Like some berg axles, 300s, 35t motors, dual fxrs, moonbuggy chassis, traxxas shocks, vanquish wheels, sedonas, ... Last edited by oldhippie; 04-05-2010 at 01:58 AM. |

I got into the hobby by building a Tamiya HummV kit about 10 years ago. I'm at a point now where I can fabricate some parts and then use Traxxas parts for everything else. The Traxxas parts are like raw material to me!

I like building any kit, too. That way when I break them I know how to fix them.

my tamiya cc-01 was fun, the axial is always a fun build, and my worst was my RC4WD jeep trail finder kit which i have named project problem child, everything needed to be modified because it wasnt right from the get go, and i basically ended up replacing almost every part of the kit except the frame.

Hands down, the best kit I've built was the Juggernaut 2. There's nothing quite like a big badass Tamiya kit in my opinion.

| My favorite build was my first - Tamiya Blackfoot, built back in '91 or '92 with my Dad...actually, he did most of the building as I was only 12 or 13 years old. After that it was a Traxxas Hawk 2 that he and I built in '93. I'm getting ready to build a Creeper...it may turn out to be my favorite; I'm sure my 2 boys are gonna want in on the action. |

I have built many, many kits over the years but I must say Tamiya kits are hands down the best kits to build, their a lil complicated (witch I like) and they come with lots and lots of good stuff! I have also built so many Axial kits, I can build any Axial crawler kit without the instructions! Kits is what R/C hobby is all about, IMO... |
