Default weight question

Right now i am in the stages of testing a new chassis for my ax10. It is a half sprung half sag design. The front is sag and the rear sprung. It seams that for me to get it to work the best i need the same weight on the front axle as dose the rig weigh without any extra weight.

Is this what most of you guys that run a partial sprung ride find you have to do.

Thanks Afton.

I don't understand this statement. Just add a wrap on weight around your front wheels.

Are you saying that you think you need to add weight to the front axle equal to the stock weight of the entire rig?

In general, put more weight in the front (tires/wheels if you can) than you do in the back. Crawl it and adjust the weight in the front and rear, as necessary, all depending on how you like what she's doing when she's ascending and descending. Off the top of my head, you might try starting with 6oz in the fronts and about half that in the rear. Your mileage will vary.

Seems like around 60/40% front/rear weight is the standard for most setups. I would say work from there.
