| Crawler King for $120 on Tower Hobbies
Tower hobbies is selling the HPI Crawler King w/ Defender body for $120. That's $125 off, got an e-mail from them today on their sales, figured I would pass the info along. I ordered one up, for that price I couldn't say no. If this is the wrong section, or not allowed, I am sorry, but thought I would pass the info along to the RCC comminity.

Good truck to get the kids, or your other half involved. Hell, or just have another truck. You can always build it into something later. Darn cheap.

Unfortunately USPS is unavailable for that item, at least for international customers, so if you add the shipping costs via UPS of the huge pack the final price is not so good. I sent an e-mail to Tower praying to suggest a possible solution but my experience says they are like a big supermarket: you find better prices than at your LHS, but no special services. One of my local hobby shops is a Tower Hobbies dealer, and he said he would beat the shipped price. You may want to see if any local places order thru Tower and willl do this also, shipping will likely be free and definetly much faster. I ordered mine online, found this out afterwards, but snail mail was only $10. Does anyone know if the stock esc can handle 2s LiPo? I don't think it can but I can't find anything saying if it can or not. |

Excellent, thanks for the info, I appreciate it. Now this will stay a cheap truck.......for a little while anyways, I can't generally leave anything stock for long.

You know, I've noticed that about HPI. They come out with a vehicle and within months its been discontinued. The micro RS4's were bad ass micros and they just stopped. Right in the middle of "micro fever". The Savage is on its 5th version. and without O'hara, I doubt they'd have an onroad car Personally, I never liked the CK. To cheap looking and need to many adjustments to get it not to bounce all over. |
