| Losi comp crawler shocks
Alright so I picked up a few rebuild kits for my Losi shocks and upon opening the packaging I noticed there were no new seals (for the cartridge). So I am wondering what other options are out there for the cartridge seal? I have seen the Teflon tape idea shot around a lot but I did not care for that. I was going to cut my own out of some thin gasket material, but the material seems like it would be too thick and not to mention a huge pain in the ass. Any ideas or suggestions would be great! Thanks, Q Last edited by Drvnbeing; 07-02-2010 at 04:07 PM. |

There have never been any Losi cap seals that I am aware of, and I have built and rebuilt probably 100 Losi shocks over the years. The key to getting a tight seal is cranking down the caps tight, I mean really tight. But not so tight as to strip them out. |

Are you talking about the o ring seals? Sometimes the o rings get stuck at the top of the package. They're inside the bag, but above the staples in the header card. I've thrown a few sets away and not realized it |

Sorry after looking at the exploded view I realized my terminology was off, I meant the cartridge seals. The really thin clear seal that goes around the male threads of the cartridge. I have all the o-rings for inside the cartridge and picked up some of the lube Del Monte suggested, so hopefully that stops that leak. Now its just the threads of the cartridge I am concerned about.
