Default a 1.9 for my kids

i bought a hsp kulak for my kids
out of the box it runs like the stock mrc

so i just start to rebuild/tune it a bit

ring and pinion are sintered

the spool is plastic but it feels strong

grinded of the needless bumper mounts

and shortened the rear axle housing 3mm

to mount the stock mrc lockouts

drilled the bearing seats 0.5mm deeper

i will do the front axle tomorrow

now the front axle

kingpin-pin center is out off line in stock position

drilled the end out to 7mm and added 7 shims 4x6x0.2mm

i will use the felsenfest mrc knuckles in 1mm offset position and the stock stubs

steering angle looks not bad

pin and stubs arenot shortened/beveled/grinded

very nice. i was looking at it on it's website, and it looks a LOT like the 1/18 exceed maxstone crawler!

couple of questions about it in general:

1. how long did shipping take to get it to you?

2. did it come with a flysky 2.4 radio?

3. are those real beadlocks?

Never heard of the Kulak. I checked it out online and it seems quite close to the MRC. Hmm! Looks like you've got a pretty solid set of axles you're putting together there as well.

Are the link and shock mounts any thicker than the Losi's ? The Losi's smaller tab is only 1.75 mm or so and this is somthing I'd like to see beefed up.

I can't exactly tell from your pictures but is that pinion centered in the housing? I'm thinking about building a 6x6 and using 2 of these kits would be a good way to go. But for it to work the middle axle needs to be a composite of 2 front axles. And the pinion needs to be centered in the housing just like the wheelie king and axial axles.
