| Broken Rear Axle
Well I broke my rear axle on Saturday. I search around and before I took it apart it seemed like the pin had sheared off. When I finally got around to taking it apart I realized it was much worse. I had shattered the translucent coupler between the axle and the planetary. I haven't seen anyone else break this piece. I fixed it by grinding down a t14 socket to fit into a pice of 1/2" copper I had lying around. The socket had a hole in it already so I used that hole as kindof a set screw hole. Then on the other side I punched out the old axle pin and replaced it with a longer pin to go through both the axle and the piece of copper. It seemed to fix it so far, only drove it around the house though.

yup! Thats the first peice I broke... Did you shatter yours? Or Just strip or wollow out the inside? Every one of broke, or seen broke just wollowed out the inside. When that happens I just JB Weld or Epoxy putty the entire thing together, holds up just fine.
