they're supposed to grind when they shift gears... As not shifting id contact nylit Customer Service... That thing will climb a vertical wall easy so i dont see a problem with it driving up a hill in your yard...

High gear sucks, you cant do much more than drive on a flat surface in high gear or the belts will slip

Low gear is the only way to go..............

these things are NOT made for speed!!!!!!!!!!

Its a rock crawler... Would you want that umph on the trail? Not really... Its made for torque... not speed... it'll go up a vertical wall from a dead stop... and they are tough... yea things will break but its not like its gona cost you $100 for a new part.

I went from running a modded savage .25 to this, sold the savage and jsut use this now... savage took to much time and money and I love this thing... I still own a .21 savage and a Tamiya Pajero...

I suggest you quit complaining. You paid 89$? for a scorpion nylint. That is a DEAL and a HALF. Its a rock crawler not a 1/10th speed car.

Read this site? There are mods all over. You can inboard the shocks, replace the shocks, 4 link it, beef up the steering, Whatever. Decide what you want to improve and improve it.

i'll personally be doing a TT, inboarding the rear shocks, and beefing up the steering. I've already cut the tires.

I would man, but im gonna have to call nylint, it wont go into high, and in low it doesnt have near the power it use to, and when it is moving, it cuts in and out, I hope I just didnt waste $89

Is your battery fully charged? The low into high thing is easy take your axle covers, and find out whats binding, or maybe grease up the lever.

I also suggest taking the gears apart and placing some more grease in there, mine hardly had anything so I placed some more in there, and it really quiets them up good.
